Non ti scordar di me
A communications and social satire professional with many years of experience in television, theatre, cinema and the web. He is known for his ironic and direct style, combined with a strong commitment to reporting and exposing social and civic issues. He has worked as a television correspondent and as the creator of successful nationally broadcast formats.
Francesco Zingariello, a versatile artist, is today one of the most internationally active Italian tenors. In 1999 he attended the Opera Academy of Katia Ricciarelli, with whom he still collaborates, and from that time began his career as a tenor. He has recorded for major broadcasters including RAIUNO, RADIO TRE, MEDIASET, Radio France, Radio Clásica (RNE), Vatican Radio and RTV, as well as DVDs of works including “Les Contes d’Hoffman”, “La Francesca da Rimini” and the oratorio “Il Trittico Francescano”, and, for Universal, the CD “Un passo per la libertà” with Katia Ricciarelli.
He has sung in major Italian and international theatres, making his debut in more than 30 roles, and has given more than 2,000 recitals worldwide, including in Canada, Spain, China, Germany, Russia, the USA, Japan and Kazakhstan. He has been conducted by distinguished maestros such as Daniel Oren, Piero Bellugi and Fabio Biondi, performing alongside artists including Leo Nucci, Renato Bruson, Cecilia Gasdia and Ruggiero Raimondi, in productions directed by figures such as Pier Luigi Pizzi and Massimo Ranieri.
Among the highlights of his career, on December 11, 2003, he sang in St. Peter’s Basilica in the presence of His Holiness Pope John Paul II. He also took part in the celebrations marking Katia Ricciarelli’s 40th and 50th career anniversaries at Teatro La Fenice in Venice and Teatro Verdi in Trieste.
Formerly a teacher at the Conservatories of Foggia and Bari, he is currently Professor of Voice at the Conservatory of Music in Matera, an advanced-course instructor at the Katia Ricciarelli International Academy, and director of Opera Studio 2.0 of “La Camerata delle Arti”. He is also Artistic Director of “La Camerata delle Arti” in Matera and President of the Orchestra di Puglia e Basilicata Association.
He successfully combines his career as a tenor with that of conductor, having conducted ensembles including the Mantua Chamber Orchestra, the Orchestra della Magna Grecia and the ICO 131 Symphony Orchestra of Basilicata. Particularly attentive to contemporary repertoire, in December 2023 he recorded the CD “La giornata della memoria” and was featured in the Christmas concert at the Sala della Regina in Montecitorio.
