Flavio D. Tozzi was born in Taranto on November 18, 2005, and began his musical studies at the age of 8. In 2024 he completed his First-Level Academic Degree in Piano with highest honors. He is currently enrolled in the Second-Level Academic Degree in Piano, solo performance track, at the N. Piccinni Conservatory in Bari, in the class of Maestro Pasquale Iannone, as well as in the Second-Level Academic Degree in Chamber Music at the G. Paisiello Conservatory in Taranto.
In 2021 he gave his first solo piano recital for the Amici della Musica “Arcangelo Speranza” association. Numerous performances followed as part of major concert seasons and festivals, including: Fondazione Liszt - Istituto di Cultura Germanica in Bologna, Festiv’Alba – Alba Fucens, Paganini Festival in Carro, University of Tuscia in Viterbo, Accademia Internazionale Malibran – Altidona, and Associazione Ama Calabria-Palmi.
His concerts at the Teatro Comunale in Vicenza, Villa Bertelli in Forte dei Marmi, Teatro di Marcello and Circolo degli Esteri in Rome, Circolo Unione at the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari, and Palazzo Albrizzi Capello in Venice have been particularly well received by audiences and critics.
Since 2021 he has frequently performed as a member of the ICO “Orchestra della Magna Grecia”.
In 2022 he took part in the XVI Premio Nazionale delle Arti; in 2023 he was a finalist in the Steinway & Sons Competition; in 2025 he was among the semifinalists of the Cambridge Piano Festival Academy and was awarded fifth place at the prestigious Premio Venezia at Teatro La Fenice. He has attended advanced piano masterclasses with P. Iannone, O. Sciortino, F. Libetta, K. Lifschitz, V. Maltempo, A. Gallo, E. Pace, R. Cappello, R. Delorko, R. O'Hora, B. Berman and S. Kovacevich.
