The Friends of Music Association “M. Giuliani” was founded in 1978 and has been active in the Puglia region for over 30 years.
The activities carried out during the concert seasons throughout the year and subsequently the creation of the Barletta Piano Festival have given the Association a prominent position in the national musical landscape.
The Association, which has as its Honorary President the renowned pianist Aldo Ciccolini, was awarded in 1997 with the Prize for Culture by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
Great soloists and great orchestras have donated their performances within various programming throughout the years, and it must be particularly noted the demonstration of affection given to the Friends of Music “M. Giuliani” by the great and deceased conductor Carlo Maria Giuliani, who wished to attend multiple times the events organized in his honor by the Association in the City of Barletta.
